One prompt, two stories. One that he wrote, and one that she wrote. You decide who spun the better tale.

Neither one of us can recall just how this idea came about, but it was fueled by a gift of the Storymatic. Having browsed the cards a few times, one excuse or another prevented stories from being written. Both having technical and business writing responsibilities in our professional lives, we sought a creative outlet, a way to tone our creative writing muscles.

Inspired by the prompts on the Storymatic, two short stories will emerge – one that he writes and one that she writes. Each week, we’ll select a new set of prompts and take said prompt from concept to published short story in seven days. Being rather competitive in nature, we’ll extend the opportunity to you, our readers, to vote on the better of the two stories. Bragging rights are awarded to the winning author for the week.
